Q: What is dandruff? And who can get it?
A: Dandruff is a condition that causes the scalp to flake due to an overproduction of Malassezia, which is a yeast-like fungus that feeds on oils on the scalp. Malassezia is not bad, in fact, we need it for a healthy balanced scalp, but too much of it can cause dandruff. And it happens to a lot of us.

All genders and age groups of people can experience dandruff. One in five people have dealt with it at some point in their life.

Q: What causes dandruff?
A: Some potential causes of dandruff include a sensitivity to hair care products (contact dermatitis) or other skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis. If the hair & scalp are not cleansed enough, oily buildup can also contribute to flaking. Too much sunlight, diet, season changes can also cause dandruff and scalp irritation.

Q: Will Anti-Dandruff Shampoo dry out my scalp?
A: Anti-Dandruff shampoo is formulated with 2% Salicylic Acid and uses gentle surfactants and conditioning agents to help keep your scalp & hair feeling soft, smooth and clean.

We recommend incorporating it in your routine and following with your favorite conditioner 2 times a week or as directed by your doctor. You can try testing the shampoo on a patch of the scalp if you’re worried about irritation.

Q: What is the best conditioner to use after Anti-Dandruff Shampoo?
A: Follow with your favorite conditioner. If you want to go all the OUAI, pair Anti-Dandruff Shampoo with a conditioner for your hair type.

Q: How long will it take to see results?
A: After 28 days of use, 100% of participants agreed*:

  • LESS FLAKES
  • LESS ITCHING
  • LESS IRRITATION

*According to a clinical study of 25 participants after 28 days of use
