Bobs are here to stay for 2019. I love Christy Turlington’s bob from the 90’s because it’s a tousled blowout that I think many girls can achieve. Keep it above the shoulder so it shows your neck, and ask your stylist for some layers throughout so there’s movement.
To style it, prep damp hair with OUAI Volume Spray at the roots and OUAI Wave Spray on mid-lengths to ends. Using the Dyson Airwrap Styler with the Round Volumizing brush attachment, blow dry the hair away from the roots for extra body.
Medium, Blunt Cut
This Adriana Lima cut is medium length, straight and simple. Keep the layers in the front long and all around, keeping the ends a bit more blunt. To style the smooth look, prep damp hair with OUAI Leave in Conditioner, then blow dry using the Dyson Airwrap Styler with the Smoothing nozzle attachment. Finish with OUAI Hair Oil to seal in added shine.
Baby bangs are making a comeback for 2019. Tell your stylist you want short, choppy bangs that are not too heavy and frame your face shape. The best way to style baby bangs is to prep damp hair with OUAI Wave Spray, and using a round brush, blow dry towards the face. Then create a part and blow hair in the direction you want the part to go towards.
Velvet Hair Accessories
Velvet hair accessories are really having a moment. Velvet hair scrunchies can pull a simple outfit together by tossing your hair up in a pony, half pony or even a messy bun. I just created my final Chloe + Isabel collection where we created a nice range of options and colors.
I'm also obsessed with the 90’s snap hair clips that you can get at Claire’s. They come in a range of different colors and patterns and can be worn with just about anything.
Hats will also always have their moment. I think they’re great for hiding any oily hair you might have and tossing your hair up in a low bun with them.
Silky and shiny hair will almost always be a thing. Using a heat protectant like OUAI Memory Mist and taking small sections to flat iron your hair will give you a long-lasting sleek look. Apply OUAI Rose Hair & Body Oil for a shiny finish. I love the GHD, Beachwaver, and Harry Josh Pro flat irons to get the glass hair look.
